At Cherry Creek Kennel we believe every dog has different needs.  We create specialized programs catered to ensure every dog has clear successful long term training not only during their time with us, but continued success after they leave.

We are set up as a traditional kennel, however we see the importance of dogs experiencing the balance between kenneling and being inside the home. Our training dogs spend time in our house learning how to be well behaved, as well as learning independence in the kennels. Our training dogs are brought into the city for real life training experience.

Our goal is to create happy balanced companions that exist confidentially at your side, regardless of breed or size.

Private lessons (125$/hour + GST): Private lessons are done at the owner's pace with no fixed schedule. It puts more of the responsibilities of maintenance and consistency on the owners. There are no set dates to host the privates, lessons are planned based on the dog's progress. Each lesson is spent together working on 1-3 things that need attention. After the lesson, an extensive write up is sent of what was covered, why we experienced it and how it should look moving forward. Advice and support via email or phone call is provided between lessons at no additional cost. 

 

 Board and train: A program suited best for dogs with numerous behavioral issues, or owners with busy schedules. The dog is housed at our facility for no less than 3 weeks to give them a complete 180 on whatever behavioral problems they are experiencing. Board and trains come with continued guidance, support, and communication when the program is over. This program is best suited for people who don’t always have the time or skills to work on their dog's problems. Please note: dogs with a bite history or who display aggressive behaviors with intent to bite will be charged an additional $25/day.
3 week program if applicable: $2450 + GST
4 week program if applicable: $3000 + GST

With either program comes a $100+ GST non negotiable in person consultation where the dog is assessed,  we discuss the issues and create a plan moving forward. We also discuss training methods, how we will likely approach any issues that might come up, and ensure we are all comfortable and confident that the issues can be resolved. All dogs are trained with a balanced approach using methods that suit their character, personality and unique traits. At Cherry Creek Kennel, we are advocates of utilizing all 4 quadrants of Operant Conditioning.

* All lessons 20+ minutes from the kennel will be charged a travel fee.
