I was looking for some fine tuning with my 1.5 year old lab who already has a good base with obedience and recall. Riley was recommended for her work with higher energy dogs. We have taken 3 private lessons and have learned so much! It is clear to me that Riley understands dogs AND also understands people...and how we communicate with our dogs. She has a very straightforward approach and is calm and detailed. I also appreciated that she gave me follow up material after our lessons which allowed me to practice properly. From what I saw, Riley has experience training all types of dogs and behaviors. My dog is a family pet with high drive and lots of energy so we enjoy learning new things. The training facility is on an older property that they have put a ton of effort into cleaning up in the short time they’ve been there. It’s clean and safely fenced.

Cherry Creek Kennel is the best! We had our dog there for the three week training program. Our dog would knock our kids over, run out the door and down the road, steal food off the table and jump up and nip everyone. We now have the tools and commands we need, those unwanted behaviors are over, and our stress level has gone way down! The dog can now join us for family activities instead of being locked in her kennel. We all spend more time outside because we aren’t worried about the dog. I’m so glad I don’t have to spend the next 10-15 years of my life yelling at the dog! 100% would recommend Cherry Creek Kennels. Riley is amazing and has a very kind and compassionate approach.

Riley is by far the best trainer we've ever worked with, and on top of that, a wonderful and friendly person that we've grown to trust. From the first time we spoke with Riley it was clear that she had a lot of integrity and wasn’t doing what she did for the money, she does it out of a genuine love for dogs and wanting to help create great relationships between dogs and their humans. Our dog Lola was with Riley for 3 weeks and throughout that time, Riley provided us with updates that showed the progress Lola was making. Riley is the best trainer you can get for your pet. We had a mastiff/ Bernese 10 month old pup , who bullied the females in the household, didn’t take commands at all and was just getting to be a nuisance in the house, instead of being a part of the family. I was a little susceptible at first but reached out in desperation. Riley agreed to train our dog for two weeks and everyday I thought today would be the day that I would get a call from Riley telling me that he is untrainable and should live on a farm After two weeks we got a pup who is still goofy and silly but knows his boundaries, from walking 1-2 km in a week to walking 4-5 km a day! He is a part of the family now and a pleasure to have ! This is the best investment you can make for the well being of your family. Thank you Riley

We recently had our 6 month old Presa, Blae, at cherry creek kennel for some obedience training. We are very pleased with the results. He is much calmer and listens to commands well. I came to Riley for a lesson to help work my dog through her reactivity toward other dogs. Riley is professional, honest, and full of knowledge that she is willing to share. I got a lot out of the lesson with her, and she sends notes so we know what to continue to work on. My dog's behavior and confidence has continued to improve with every walk, and I feel much more confident in handling situations where off leash dogs rush up to us. People even compliment how relaxed my dog is - when before I would just have to focus on keeping her from barking or pulling. Her manners and reactivity in the car has improved drastically as well.

I count myself as very fortunate to have met Riley a few months back. I adopted from Riley her Belgian Malanois (Jet ) of almost 6 years. I am still amazed everyday on how well trained Jet is. The commands and tricks Jet has in his repertoire are jaw dropping. I get comments on how well behaved Jet is almost daily from strangers when we are out in public.

My working line GSD used to do all the opposite of what I said and was bored with all her basic training. Since Riley has been working with us my pup has loved every minute of her training and is always so excited to see her training toys come out. With the extra training she is getting, she listens to me so much better in the day to day and has less destructive energy in the house. Riley has been available whenever I have questions or concerns outside of the sessions or with behavioral that pop up that are irrelevant to our training. She is phenomenal and my dog is able to work to reach her full potential. Worth every penny!

Riley is wonderful! She came to my home a few times to help us with training our new puppy, Rocky. She was great at providing tips, correcting certain behaviors that we had no idea what to do with, such as pulling on the leash, jumping up at the little children and biting their clothes, teaching our puppy to sit, stay, and leave his treats until we give commands and this was only in the first visit. She provided follow up notes after every session and has helped us in between sessions when new issues come up. It is great to have a personalized training plan with someone we trust. We have recommended her to a friend who was having a hard time with their large adult dog, where they sent for a month-long board and train, and they were so grateful for the recommendation, as he came back a whole new and improved dog.

I called looking for assistance and had a really lovely experience. She was very helpful & kind and gave a great referral for someone in my area. Would have definitely went with her if she was closer.

We contacted Riley looking for help training our 5 month old puppy. From the start Riley has been open about everything, checking to make sure we are feeling comfortable, reinforcing how important communication is for all parties involved, and extremely flexible. Each training session we did was thorough, to the point, and she really taught you about what was going through your dogs mind/why they were acting a certain way. We walked away feeling confident in our new abilities to train our puppy. Riley made sure you understood how important it was to text/call her when something wasn’t going well with training, or if you had any questions/concerns. Our dog, Roxy, is a really nice dog but was knocking me over to watch kids with balls. Roxy would get so excited and wouldn’t listen We hired Riley to help us out with leash manners and recall. Roxy is a rescue dog that’s three years old and would not come to her name. Riley gave us instruction on how to use an Ecollar. We worked with Roxy in our back yard and then took her to the dog park. I used the Ecollar three times and then when I called Roxy she came every time. We are so happy that she can now play with other dogs! She is one happy puppy! Riley was easy to talk to, made us comfortable about using the Ecollar without hurting Roxy. Riley sent us a review of our meeting and reached out to see how Roxy was progressing! Very professional with great results.

Riley was amazing with my boy! She was able to take him on short notice and made me feel so comfortable leaving him for the first time. Before his stay he had no recall whatsoever and now I am able to walk with him off leash. We will definitely be back to see Riley for any future boarding or training needs!

I am beyond impressed with my experience with Riley and Cherry Creek Kennel so far. We sought out Riley’s expertise with resource guarding with our 2 year old male and overall manners in the home with both of our dogs. Riley of Cherry Creek Kennels is truly one of a kind. I contacted Riley because our 8 yr old Airedale terrier was highly reactive and though we have had him since a pup, socialized him and completed numerous training classes, we couldn’t manage to help him. Riley assessed our doggo and shared her thoughts and suggestions in person and followed up with notes by email. We had 2 follow up sessions and I was amazed at how quickly I could see a difference. One of the things I enjoyed most about working with Riley was that I felt like she was helping ‘my’ dog…providing me with tools to help him specifically…not a cookie cutter approach to the reactive behavior. Riley is straight forward with her advice which is very refreshing. Her genuine love of dogs is immediately apparent. Our doggo has definitely improved and I thank Riley for helping us give him what he needs to be a happy pooch.

PS the only time our doggo backslides in behavior is when we as caretakers don’t do our job.

I highly recommend Cherry Creek Kennel for multiple reasons. Our Olde English Bulldog Bear spent two weeks with Riley for board & train. Riley has gone above and beyond for us and our dog. In addition to being a wonderful human being, Riley is very honest, knowledgeable and patient when it comes to dogs. The facility is spacious with lots of space to roam. Bear received training at the facility (indoors and outdoors), but also in everyday environments (e.g. city, park, dog park).

Riley is very receptive to questions and communicated with us throughout Bear's stay. The board & train with Riley has been a game-changer for our dog (and us). I cannot stress enough how much Riley's work with Bear has allowed us to manage everyday situations (e.g. dog encounters). Most importantly, we have gained a new understanding of our dog's needs and way of communicating which has alleviated a lot of worries. Overall, I cannot recommend Cherry Creek Kennel enough. It has been an invaluable investment and I wish we would have sent Bear sooner.

We recently took our dog to Cherry Creek Kennels and would love to share our amazing experience with trainer/owner Riley. Our puppy Haggis had reactivity and leash manner issues prior to her two week train and board, but now she is a completely different dog, a behaved, calm dog. After previous experiences at other kennels we were hesitant to trust another kennel, but Riley (Cherry Creek Kennels) proved to us every day that Haggis was truly in the best hands by constantly sending us text, photo and video updates through email and messenger. Prior to her time with Riley, Haggis couldn't be anywhere near dogs, at any distance away. If Haggis could see a dog she would be lunging on the leash and barking uncontrollably. Her reactivity was based on excitement, fear and not knowing how to control her own emotions or how to display the right emotion. This made any outings with Haggis a struggle, especially as her reactivity began to worsen. During her first week Riley showed us videos of Haggis walking politely on the leash with another dog within only a few feet of her, Haggis was clearly happy and not reacting to the other dog whatsoever, we couldn't believe it! Every photo and video of Haggis over the two weeks amazed us as she made huge strides every day with Riley. At the time of drop off, Riley was very thorough with explaining what we need to do moving forward with Haggis' training. The difference between how Haggis was before and after the training is black and white, she has huge improvements we did not think were possible. And with the training Riley gave us, we now realize how confusing our previous methods were for Haggis. Most importantly to us, it was clear how much Haggis loves and trusts Riley, that this training experience was enjoyable for her. Now that Haggis is back home we can see that Haggis is a much more relaxed, calm and happy dog in situations where she would be very reactive previously. We are so proud of her and so happy that she can now have a more enjoyable and peaceful life without the stress and fear of dogs, people and places.

Riley is a true gem of the dog training industry, she went out of her way to keep us updated, to meet with us, teach us, and to keep in contact with us after the two week training to ensure everything is going well. We trust Riley and her training methods and will most definitely recommend and use Cherry Creek Kennels again in the future for boarding.

I fully expected Indie to be at Cherry Creek for a 4 week board and train. There was no way in my mind, that all his nonsense could be corrected, in anything less than that!! Well, he spent a whole 2 weeks there and came back to me a whole new dog!!! He’s calm, WAAAY less anxious and has a fantastic recall!!! The best part of the whole training though, was the time Riley spent with me on pick up day, to teach ME how to work better with my pup.

It was super hard to drop my boy off there, as I knew I would miss him, but getting updates and videos of his progress made me feel 100% at ease, as every video, he had the biggest smile on his face!!

I greatly value and appreciate the support that Riley has offered me since Indie has been home, as it’s nice to know how much she truly invests in all the dogs she works with.

Riley was so great to work with and teaching my puppy and I some key skills. During our 2 week board/train she continuously updates me with pictures and videos while explaining what she’s doing. After I picked him up Riley went over instructions for when I’m at home and they have been wonderful to reference! I know that if I ever need to leave my pup with someone I can count on Riley as her passion and love for animals definitely shows.

Most helpful trainer out there! cares about the dogs and not just the money (which is amazing and rare) My dog was taking off for hours into the bush after anything that moves and I couldn’t even take her for an on leash walk without her wanting to run after other dogs, she’s now able to walk in a neighborhood off leash and doesn’t think twice about running after wild animals.. and if she does I call her back and she comes no problem, she has amazing recall and confidence with other dogs. I wouldn’t see anyone else or consider another trainer. Riley is truly the best trainer out there. My German shepherd/Austrian shepherd is the smartest happiest puppy thanks to her.

We sent our boy to Riley for a board train for 2 weeks and he came back a completely different dog. He went from doing what he wanted to respecting our requests and being trained in a way we could have only dreamed of. Thank you Riley and team, Charlie is doing amazing and we are so happy.
